I've always suspected I might enjoy a stay in federal prison. But then, I'm one of those awful, promiscuous, gay male sluts the RR are always ranting about.* In all seriousness, I think jail must be hell on earth. I wonder why people joke about it, but just accept it. No governor or politician ever campaigned on reducing sexual assault and rape in male prisons. It's like it is an accepted part of the prison experience. Some prisons don't allow or provide condoms, insisting that no sex is actually taking place. Wouldn't that mean men who are raped are likely to end up with a nice case of HIV/ AIDS at then end of their stay in jail? Or are people with deadly infectious diseases segregated from the mainstream prison community? I think if someone is given a sentence, then that sentence is their punishment, it is not acceptable having the prison system add in "extra" punishments like men being subjected to rape on a daily basis. Prison officers shouldn't be allowed to just ignore it. If our society does indeed want male prisoners to be fvcked up the ass on a daily basis, then that should be written into law, and the judge should specifiy daily rapings as part of each man's sentence.* The fact that our society does tolerate this, joke about it, is an indication that most of us are still barbariaans at heart, IMO.

No, rape is never funny or justified. We're not just talking about a punishment, but something that takes a piece of someone's humanity that can never be returned. Let's not also forget that not everyone is a violent criminal; when you're in jail on a shoplifting/theft/fraud charge, it doesn't seem even remotely fair to have this violent happen. Besides, women are said never to get over it, so I don't see it as a reasonable thing when someone's punishment is supposed to have a finite period of time.
 
no, they don't deserve it. It's not just the child molestors who get it in prison...even people in prison from something as stupid as too many DUIs have to watch their cornholes.

I mean, if people keep driving drunk, we should certainly lock them up, but buttrape? Seems a bit excessive...

people with DUI's dont go to those kind of prisons...

The ONLY positive about the whole prison rape thing is that it's a deterant to a crime, other than that it's wrong (except maybe for murderers or child rapists 😛)

What evidence is there that a fear of being raped in prison deters people from behaving in criminal ways?

Why is it acceptable for a murderer or child molester to be raped?

No, our prison system is an absolute joke. Weightlifting? TV? Video Games? Gang-banging w/ your home-boys in prison? Yard fights? Anal rape? If our prison system was effective, we would not see so many repeat offenders who go in and out of prison. Prisoners should do manula labor the entire day and if any of them step out of line the guards can use whatever force necessary to put them back in line - solitary confinement, beatings, etc., something like Abu Grahaib or Guantanamo. People should be scared to death of going to prison - that will deter most of them from committing crimes.

 
no, thats why when an icelander does a crime in the US the Icelandic government automaticly requests that the centence gets served here
 
I just read something that suggests 1 in 5 prisoners is raped or abused.

BTW, prison isn't supposed to be a fun place, that's why they call it prison.

I always thought that if I ended up in Prison I would just sh!t my pants to keep the Bubbas away but then there are probably some sick fsckers in there that would like that kind of action.:Q:shocked:
 


I think something needs to be done to try an eliminate that happening.

Perhaps taking out the Playstations, all tv's must have one channel PBS, get rid of the weights, magazines, cable tv, dvd players, etc and in exchange just make prision rape happen much less often.
