Hello ,

just wanted to know, do ppl care how you dress , I know that most adults don't while you dress normally ... but I'm talking about high school students ? ... because I wore same jeans like for a year now (they look normal, don't worry :) ) , every day ... and just wear simple t-shirts ... it's all b/c I have non-standart height/width ; ( ... well , and don't like shopping, well , and also you can take a look at my Rig and you'll know other reason ; ))) ... back to my question ... do they care , if I'm not popular in school ... I'm just popular that I don't talk at all and that's I'm one of only 3 russians in school ; )

Thanks,
bye.

well, I kinda hadda dress nice, had a uniform in shop, black pants, and button down shirt, and school had a code, button down shirts, or polo's for guys, girls got away with alot more.
oh and tucked in, and seeing as how I feel better when I'm dressed like that, and the chicks come running when I dress like that. (button down shirt, tucked in, Kahkis usually.) I usually try to wear nicer clothes in casual invronments. But I still do have some t-shirts and jeans that look ok too, just not that many.

If I wasn't going to get horribly ridiculed for doing it, I'd wear sweat pants every day! But alas, it's socially unacceptable. :(

i don't care if people give a damn about how i dress. i dress as i do because i find it appealing, not to be popular or get compliments. if people will judge you soley on how you look, i figure they're too shallow for me to even think about being friends with. just my opinion :)

here here toph!! Thats the way i am. I dress how i want to, unless i'm at work, then i dress in business casual. I wear what i like, and the only other person's opinion i take any thought into is my girlfriend.

"Personally as long as you're dressed I'm okay with it. "

Really? I like the females if they aren't dressed. ;)

its weird i don't know if this is true with other girls but if i'm sitting next to the same guy everyday, over the course of the semester i pretty much know how many shoes, shirts, and pants he has. its just that i notice things like that i guess. i'd have to agree with dafatha00 in that i'd prolly notice a person more if he is wearing a variety of things as opposed to the same sorta thing everyday.

as for myself, i don't think anyone really cares how i dress. but i'm quite picky in what i wear.

Finally! Corroboration for my theory. I always suspected women kept an inventory of everyone's clothing.

with guys, they really don't care what the girls wear...as long as its casual and stylish...but as a general rule, guys only care about this "the less clothes, the better" hehe

Unfortunately I think people do care how you dress. I used to dress not that well(or alteast what other people could perceive as not that well I didn't really care much) just cause I never really had much money to sink into my wardrobe. I used to buy clothes at Target and Mervynns and stuff and I always thought the clothes were alright, but definitely not as showy or fashionable as the brandname stuff that you buy at the malls. Since I've been in college I've had a girlfriend whose gotten me just a ton of Quicksilver and O'Neil clothes(and some Billabong) really cheap(cheaper than I can buy normal clothes) to the point where now all I own are the clothes I've gotten because of her. Now I would say that I am fairly well dressed(just cause I didn't pick out any of the clothes) but I feel way more uncomfortable now than I did with my more generic clothes. It seems almost like I'm putting out the image that I really do care what I look like, when I don't, and it seems to attract that same type of person to whom looks are important. It is almost like pressure to complete the image by acting cool or something. I would much rather meet people who don't care about looks at all, but they almost seem to be unattracted by my pricey appearance and vanity. It works out that I won't be able to get those clothes cheap anymore anyways so I think I will be migrating back to the good old Target fashion department next time I need clothes(which I am happy with). I can't believe how much some people are willing to spend on clothes.

I personally don't really care how others dress, but I do like to look nice for myself... oh and of course for the ladies ;)

I was though talking to a couple girls before, and they, although I don't know if this is the general consensus for all girls, say that they prefer guys who wear more casual stuff rather then the stylish/trendy walking fashion shows that we have around here.

I dunno, I'm just not jeans/t-shirt kinda guy

Do people care about what I wear? Probably.

Do I care about what they care? Hardly.

I think the problem is that many of us DO think that other's care when in fact that's usually not the case... and because of this we become way too conscious about our looks. I personally don't really care what others think about me, I just like to look good for myself... and yes, the ladies too :D

<< if people will judge you soley on how you look, i figure they're too shallow for me to even think about being friends with. >>

I know that most people do judge you by how you look, at first impressions anyway, but I love that. I am in High School and I am a freak to the bone. I dress however I like and usually I like to dress wildly, mostly because I like the style and it is my personal way of battling the evil conformist clothes like Aeropostale, Gap, American Eagle, and other preppy clothes that some mislead people think will make them cool or popular. And even though these people are mislead and different from me, I still love them. Especially the ones that judge me and even hate me at first. I love them the most because I kill them with kindness. I use my wit and charm and whatnot and I always win them over. There are no people that I don't like and there are no people that don't like me after talking to me for a day or even less. Thats the satisfaction I get. I get the satisfaction of knowing that these people did not like me because of my looks, my clothes, or whatever, and I completely turned their view of me around. I showed them that they can't judge me by looks and they shouldn't judge anybody that way.

My advice to you, Russian Guy Anton, is to be yourself and don't be shy. Who cares if you don't know english? Do your best to talk with people and be kind to even those that may be mean to you. Do a little tapdance or something, you would be amazed how well liveliness and a smile gets you friends. Uh, thats about all I got. I am all adviced out, but the point is that I don't care what you look like or wear or whatever, just have fun and um that is all that is really important.

alott the clothes i wear really expenisive clothes but i justify it by knowing that they dont come from sweatshops.
not many other ppl in highskool wore the same brands as me but noone cared cuz im an amazing person i guess *giggles*
well in the younger grades it was all about how you dressed but then when i got to like 12 and OAC noon cared anymore, but thats when i started wearing snug and fiction etc.

so in short anyone who cares how you dress is lame and has to get over themselves.

*kat. <-- fiction whore.

I'm the only russian in our school.. it sux.. plus russian girls rock, and I hardly ever get to hang out with any.. basically I dont pay too much attention to how I dress, its clean and orderly, but in terms of variety it isnt very much.. well theres always college next year.
