i use them. Even though i disagree with the corporation, they have their foot in the door. I excercise Extreme caution using paypal, though.

I keep nothing in my account and only use it for under $100 purchases unless I know the person or business REAL well.

It is stupid, you don't get any protection, unless you give them your bank acount # and get verified.

Also seller, make sure you send it to confirm shipping address only.

Hi chainbolt,

Not sure of why you are stating that we do not do business in Asia? Not all countries have the same functionality, but we do have a footprint in Asia.

I've used it plenty of times with no problems.

Just wish I could also pay the creditcard back with it.

I used paypal about 7 times earlier this year. No problem. But I always clear my account. And I closed my bank account after I got verified and opened a new one at different bank.

i liked it in the begining, when it first started.. it seemed to work better. but of course, it opened the doors for fraud, and that just blew things down the hole. I got out before the fees and stuff for my own reasons tho.. they somehow charged a CC i had removed from their system months before... that, i did not like.

What do you mean "you pull from you bank"?

Is it a good idea to just open a new check account and get verified, than just close it. What if there is a problem with your paypal account and they put a freeze on your checking account. Than all of a sudden, all your check bound because of the freeze. I wouldn't want that to happen to me.

Do anyone know of any online checking account?

Hi vinnyracer and dalilama,

I believe that you are referencing instant ach, which places a hold against the credit card on file if the user wants to make an immediate payment from a bank account (without the 3-5 business day wait). This hold typically drops off after 7-30 days (depending on the bank) and the hold only occurs because we are fronting the money before the incoming bank transfer completes. Users need to make sure they are choosing the right payment option on the send money screen and users that have their debit card listed as their credit card need to understand how the feature will impact their bank account. These holds only occur because of the payment option chosen by the user.

This may seem a little complex but I can explain it in more detail if needed.
