Do people put additional HSF's on their Vid Cards when OCing? If so, does it really help?

The topic pretty much says it all. When people OC their vid card, do they ever take the HSF that came w/the card in the packaging off and install an additional one? One that would work better? If so, does this actually help to OC and give you more power when OCing ?
