do people in other countries think american accents are sexy?

Brazilians like a slight american accent, but will make fun of the hard beloved patriot accent. I imagine it's similar as a person with a slight italian accent to us.

Sourthern Redneck accent on a woman - unsexy

English accent on a woman - sexy
English Cockney (think My Fair Lady) accent on a woman - unsexy

Yes, I had that discussion with a coworker this morning. A high class woman of any background will always sound sexier than her less classy counterpart
 
Couldn't help but think of this scene from the movie 'Love Actually' when I saw this thread. It's the guy who keeps striking out with English girls who always said he's going to go to America where his accent will get him laid. All his friends think he's over-idealizing American women, but he goes for it anyway.

I know Connecticut does not have an accent. we prounounce words correctly annunciating each letter phoenetically as it was meant to be said without dropping syllables or adding drawls. It is quite perfect english.

In summary do not clump the north eastern states all together. Massholes, NYC'ers long islanders and connecticutians all sound much different.
