Yes, when people get steady jobs and settle down into a niche. I think being conservative is just more convenient to their lifestyle.

Definitely. I don't do NEARLY as many foolish things as I used to. I find myself gravitating towards the pub lifestyle rather than the boom-chicka-boom club lifestyle.

Although going to a club every now and then is still OK, just not regularly as I used to.

Yea, I find I like going to nice quiet Jazz bars for a drink rather than clubs. Those "Who is this next to me? Why is she naked? Why am I naked? What state am I in?" moments have their ups and downs.

I was conservative until I was in my late teens. I became a liberal until I was in my late twenties. I then found a slightly diluted libertarianism to be what I believed was best, and still do. I siwtched to liberal in my teens because I felt conservatism was too dangerious to our freedoms. As I found out later, so was liberalism.

The more you know about the real world, the more you realize that socialism and/or authoritarianism just wont work.

I find that people certainly get more conservative with age and less tolerant too. I'm 38 now and I look at some people, mostly those from the generation after me, and think, how could these people be so LAZY and Stupid. Most people younger than me have absoultley no work ethic. They all want to be paid $30.00/hr to sit on their asses.
