Do people ever put 2 positions at the same company as 2 entries on a resume?

My example would be sales associate years x-y assistant manager years y-z. Putting these as 2 separate entries on a resume. They were at the same store an everything just different positions. I'm applying internally for manager of the store and the district manager will probably give me the position anyway, it's more just for formality as anything. Just curious if people do this. I don't have much else to put on my resume beyond education and skills, would help fill it out.

Yes. 2 different positions with different responsibilities should go as 2 entries if they are relevant to your new job.

for me, each company gets an entry..... the position is sub entry. but then again, i've been at wachovia/wells fargo now for 10+ years.... don't need to update my resume yet. knock on wood

Wachovia / well fargo ... google. Right right wamo was purchased by wells fargo. Can't keep all these bank mergers / liquidations / bankruptcies straight any more. You're lucky you still have a job 🙂

yeah, that's what i told everyone who are complaining to me .... if they want to leave, they'll have to compete with all the people who lost their job at the circuit city hq, which is here.
