Probably tried to shoot a cop or something...

Edit:

Those guys had riot gear, so maybe he threw a molotov cocktail at the cops? I mean that will get you an ass kicking.

What are they saying?

It may be some other language like Bulgarian, Romanian, etc. but "Don't run", "Don't hit", "Don't do it man", "You shouldn't have run", etc. but I may be mistaken, cause at some parts they are saying things that I have no clue of... The car that he runs along at the beginning looks a lot like a Tofas Dogan (a car brand/model), so that kinda convinced me but who knows... what that guy is yelling at the end sounds like italian though

How do you know this stuff? You must be, like, Turkish or something.

Does it make me a bad person if I laughed? The almost-robotic way they were methodically beating him down just amused me.

You should really leave your house sometime, and hopefully get some real world experience. I've seen more political activity involving cops in riot gear than you ever will, and I can say you're laughably wrong.

I've seen the little riot they throw every New Years down at Pike Place, thank you very much. And I saw the WTO debacle a few years ago too. Who starts those, do you ever wonder? Peaceful marching protesters? Or jack-booted thugs with badges and batons?

But apparently you missed the military coup with Abdala Bucaram, or when they kicked out Jamil Mahuat, or when every taxi cooperative in the city went on strike and illegally blocked off all the main roads, or when the Indians marched into Congress and blockaded the building, or the TLC protests, or any number of things that happened during the 90% of my life that I was not in Seattle.

Funny how few people got hurt in all that. Maybe the US just does it wrong. And I doubt it's because cops in the third world have more sensitive dispositions.
