Instead of flaming why don't you post something usefull. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and if you can't respect that then maybe you deserve everything that will come to you.
I'm not talking specifically about that. All non-profit agencies keep a portion of the money submitted. My wife has worked for a large non-profit for over 5 years. It's part of keeping the machine running.
The problem is if you go read the other post this guy has posted..it's amusing and you'll see the trend.

Remember your local charities still need money to help people in your own state.
Whenever a disaster like this hits, many people donate as much as they can to Red Cross and they end up with more money than they can use, while people stop supporting local charities because they are broke.
The radio station I listen to collected over $60,000 in donations today, so I'll be sending a check off to Northwest Harvest (Washington state food bank supplier) instead.

As someone else stated, it costs money to then ship that food and water to the affected areas. Also it becomes a logistical nightmare to try to organize all those resources down to the areas where it is needed, to the point where it's not worth it in many cases (not all).
I also hope you people don't agree with the OP's rediculous, unsubstantiated conspiracy theory. The Red Cross and other non profit's are often the most impactful aid organizations in the world. They are a major source of relief to people all over the world in times of need. Any charitable organization, especially one as large and diverse as the Red Cross need money to function and organize efforts. Without our donations to them, you'd undeniably see alot more suffering and death due to lack of resources.
Really... even if the numbers weren't proven as they were already, if this was true it wouldn't be on prisonplanet.com, it would be on CNN, MSNBC, BBC, etc. and not some bullsh!t consipiracy site.
I'm not sure if this is the one I've used before, but, give.org has a listing of MANY charities and the financials behind them. For example, the American Red Cross is listed there. As described above, the breakdowns of the funds allocation:
Programs: 91% Fund Raising: 3% Administrative: 5%
Perhaps it's smoke and mirrors, but, that's one site. The Redcross.org site has their financial statements on it, the 9/11 fund info seems to be here
There's also the independent auditors records. Do your own research.
