Do Not Call cell phone list?

I just got this email. The girl I got it from is about as sharp as a sack of wet mice so she wouldn't know if it were true or not. Has anyone else heard about this?

"In a few weeks, cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing
companies and you will start to receive sale calls. You will be charged for
these calls. Call this number from your cell phone 888-382-1222.
It is the national DO NOT CALL list. It only takes a minute of your time. It
blocks your number for 5 years. Please pass this on to everyone you know who
doesn't want to be harassed."

this guy called my friend's phone and left her a message about her being pre-approved for some sort of a loan, on her cell.
 
they are adding cell phone numbers to a 411 directory but companies aren't supposed to have access to it for spamming purposes.

That is the origination of the legend/chain letter.
 
i dunno- i put my number down way back in january, and ive yet to get any calls. my mom never did, and she gets calls every now and then.

theyll do that if you give your cell number out when doing business at places that give that info away

we only use cellphones, and are on the do not call list anyway because since we only *had* cell phones, business only had our cell number and we got a call a time or two a month about crap like that.

I used to have first incoming minute free a few years ago. Then when I bought a new phone, that plan wasn't available anymore.
 
I've gotten no calls on my cell phone, but I've gotten plenty of Text Messages...

Those make me angry, thinking something important has come in...
