After winning more than 60 percent of the pledged delegates through March 1st, Clinton is now likely to lose the majority of pledged delegates awarded between March 2nd and June 14th — a two and a half month period that makes up roughly the final two-thirds of the Democratic nominating process.

But it isn’t just this — as striking a fact as it is — that has caused real concern about whether Clinton can win in the fall. It’s also that Clinton’s unfavorables have risen to historic levels; that Clinton performs consistently worse than Sanders against Donald Trump in both general election and battleground-state polling; that there are states (for instance, Georgia, Arizona, and Ohio) that polling shows Sanders would win and Clinton would lose in the general election, along with many others (among them New Hampshire and Pennsylvania) where Clinton is in a dead heat with Trump and Sanders wins handily; that Clinton loses independent voters to Trump while Sanders wins them overwhelmingly; that Clinton can’t draw crowds with even a fraction of the numbers or energy that Sanders’ crowds routinely have; that Clinton isn’t considered nearly as honest or trustworthy as Sanders, according to every poll of voters; and that a movement candidate will be needed to defeat Donald Trump, whereas, instead of a movement candidate, what Clinton is giving the Democrats is Al Gore 2.0.

The problem, in sum, is that Clinton is looking like a clear November loser, and Sanders a probable November winner.

There are only so many more times that Sanders supporters can blow the trumpet alerting you to the trap you’ve set for yourselves — and, should Trump secure the presidency, the nightmare you’ve orchestrated for the rest of the nation...

Vote Wisely in California, don't muck it up!

If you given a provisional ballot, refuse it (as it's often not counted) and ask for a crossover ballot. 🙂

Why has Hillary collected more votes in total than Bernie and why isn't Bernies total votes close to Trumps?
I realize its two different primaries for Bernie vs Trump but they should at least be close.

**this is coming from a guy who voted for Bernie**

Edit: It appears Trump & Bernie are close in total votes

I was hoping the Bernie kids would be better than the Ron Paul supporters. Unfortunately that is not the case.

OP the race is effectively over. Vote for whoever you want, but the really is no hope of Bernie being the nominee at this point.

If you think this country is going to elect a socialist who wants to massively raise raxes, you're kidding yourself. Trump would destroy him by simply pointing out venezuela, sandanistas, cuba, bread lines, his wife's former school....etc.

As of late, I don't always agree with your, shall we say, ravings, but I agree with this. Head-to-head polls right now are garbage. Sanders only polls better because no one is airing out his skeletons yet. Republicans would have a field day with all the crap he's got in there if he became the nominee.

Trump would destroy Sanders. Sanders had a hard time dealing with Clinton. Clinton is a career politician who imo took it pretty easy on Sanders. Trump would not go easy on him. And Sanders would look like the bumbling fool he is trying to defend himself.

everything about the OP is wrong. it's amazing just how misguided the Bernie followers are. there is absolutely no chance of a far left socialist winning the presidency. thankfully Bernie has zero chance of getting the nomination because he could easily hand the presidency to Trump.

Bit early for absinthe, isn't it?

Trump is easily the most reviled figure in modern politics, while Bernie draws unprecedented ground level support and from all areas of the political spectrum, and has the benefit of being on the right side of history for the last what, 40 years?

Bumbling fool? Do you need some links where he stomps all over his critics and their talking points, there's no shortage of them.

After the speech I just saw him give, I find your take on him incredibly inaccurate. Sanders is the only figure in the race no one really loathes, and no one questions his motives.

Drink a lot of water, that stuff can give you horrible hangovers! 😉

Bernie Bro Alert.

Compared to the hillary bot alert? Uh, yeah... I like Sanders and it's probably obvious... Duh!!!

I've stated what was in the article, not like I made the shit up.

If you don't like it, I am sure you could find some other trusty news source to come to your own conclusion.

I know that the 1% own most of the media and they want to see Shillary win...

It's something that I refuse to watch, so, I haven't been bombarded or programmed to believe it's over for him. He still has a chance, small one but still it's not over yet.

But I agree with the source. Hillary will not win over trump. Just stating the facts.

She's winning because she got millions more votes than Sanders did. He lost fair and square. If Hillary is such a terrible candidate then Sanders should have been able to beat her, but she beat him by a larger margin than Obama beat her by.

The idea that Sanders lost due to some conspiracy instead of just because he didn't get enough votes is silliness.

Then why does Hillary have more total votes than Bernie and if the answer is the media well its the same media that needs to be dealt with during the general election. Look at the good news when Bernie started to run his stated goal was to bring Hillary to the left. He has accomplished this goal and exceeded it by bring Republicans to the left (slightly). Have pride in the success and don't be a sore loser.

That's because nobody, and I mean nobody, has bothered to attack him. Hillary has directed almost no attacks his way because 1. she doesn't have to in order to win and 2. it wouldn't do much other than alienate his supporters.

Republicans have also not attacked him and are in fact pulling the same thing with him that they did with Hillary in 2008. When Obama became the presumptive nominee all of a sudden Republicans started talking about how much they actually liked Hillary and how if only she had won. It's as disingenuous now as it was then.

If Sanders actually won the nomination you would see his approval ratings drop like a rock.

Bernie is a flaccid candidate and the only reason why he had gotten this far is because he's seen as a flaccid crazy old uncle and hillbilly doesn't want to be seen as a harpy bashing on the crazy old uncle.

His attacks wouldn't work against Trump as they can be thrown back at him. Especially now with his wife's school going under.

This is the guy who thinks that bread lines are indicative of a functional economy. The us is a capitalist society, no amount of idealistic young idiots and former hippies will change that, at least not right now. He will get destroyed.

You don't realize how many independent middle to upper middle class people would never vote for him simply because their standard of living would get cratered.

I'm curious: do you think Sanders has gotten a fair shot at this whole thing since Day 1?
No, because the DNC knows he'd get fucking destroyed. Even with trump it might be the biggest landslide in the history of the us.

I bet even my feminist neighbor would vote trump over bernie if only for the fact that her standard of living would get destroyed by bernie.

They're being cratered anyway. This economy is designed to eliminate their positions and it will not rest until it does. There will be a day when those voters simply don't exist.

No, because the DNC knows he'd get fucking destroyed

That's simply due to his age. A younger, more charismatic person could push for... let's say equality.... better than Bernie Sanders can.

Could say the same thing about Hillary. She's fucken weak, she can't even beat and old cranky man. Anyone else would have it wrapped up.

Hillarys ratings are already at rock bottom. If they go any further no one will be voting for her. Dunno what happened to P&N but seems everyone here wants the status quo and the establishment to win. Good Luck with it! My take, shillary is worse than bush, but as I remember last time, the programing and kool aid was just as bad! Most were for the most retarded president in US history and even voted for him twice. Must be the water and the media!

So how much are you getting paid to vote for Hillary? hahaha shrills.

Well if she's so weak then why did Obama have an even harder time beating her? He seemed to do ok.

You're just emotionally ranting here. If you think Hillary is worse than Bush tell us how, specifically. It's funny that you're calling other people 'shills' while you seem to be doing exactly that, shilling for Sanders. If you like him better than Hillary that's great, but you're kind of going off the deep end here.

I think you guys are over estimating Trump. The dude is a buffoon that couldn't seriously talk his way out of a real debate. He will just blabber on with silly child like attacks with no substance or knowledge of what he is talking about. He is a sad person and makes me feel ashamed for being American to see him get the airtime he has with idiocracy candidates lapping it up.

I wouldn't make that assumption. Trump has beaten conventional wisdom again and again. Trump should be easy to beat, I agree, but the American public can be irrational and ill-informed. I won't make any predictions until we're past the conventions and Clinton and Trump really starting going head to head. That's when we'll start seeing whether Clinton can effectively pop the Trump bubble.

I always get a chuckle when bernie supporters want to point to the polls as the reason the dems should nominate him instead of hildebeast. You know the old adage about the backup quarterback always being the most popular guy? It applies perfectly. He's the backup QB. He seems wonderful as a replacement for hildebeast because she's so loathsome and repugnant.... but that's only because nobody has taken the time (or the bother) to expose him for the cookie old commie loon he is. If he became the "starter", it wouldn't take very long for everyone to see why he wasn't the starter.....

This election cycle is the most entertaining in my lifetime. Totally agree with your opinion. This Onion article never stops being relevant.
