Do most graphic cards with DVI support 1920 by 1200 pixel resolution?

I'm thinking about buying the 23 inch Apple lcd. I heard that the max res of DVI is 1600x1200...is this true? if so how do Apples use the monitor since they use the same nVidia/ATI cards?

Edit: I take that back, they only support 1600x1200. My best guess it has something to do with ADC, the Nvidia and ATI cards that come with Macs have adc and dvi connectors.

And I might add, the Apple monitors look like crap on PCs because it uses software for everything, and there isnt any PC software for it.

Max res is 1920x1200 (1080i) I use that res on my 19"CRT all the time, only when I go side to side the desktop/work area scrolls with the mouse because the resolution, if you get a DVI>ADC adapter with your 23" Cinema display you should be able to use it with your PC

may i suggest you get a samsung wide 23" panel. i believe they make the Apple one anyways, you'd probably save a significant amount of money
