Do more MP on a Digital Camera mean a better photo?

I've heard 35mm is ~7 megapixels.

35mm is much much higher than that, but do to camera quality and other issues the usable resolution is usally compared to 6-7mp.

Those are great pictures in the eyes of a photographers, that's art. However, it you carefully look at the pictures, the details are not that great.My opinion is that if you want great pictures, just take a photography course, then choose a camera later :)

You can take a pic that ends up with technical flaws. And still be a perfect pic.
You can take a pic that is technically perfect. And looks like last years road kill in a plaid shirt.

Framing,subject and lighting will make more difference than marginally better camera.

I'd call this my 2-cents worth but, i can't spare the change
