i got a PM about locking my post ... and i replied back asking why it was locked..

just wondering if it got to him...

I cannot answer for other moderators, but my guess would be that they deemed it inappropriate. Leave it at that.

Yes to both.

PM'ing a mod is the preferred method. Better than a topic saying "hey mod!".

Do you think they can really keep track of all the threads they lock? ;)

it would seem to be that it would take an incredible amount of time and effort if the mods had to pm people on the reasoning behind locking a thread up..
