Do minorities view blacks in a negative way?

I think most minorities probably do. At least the ones that I come into contact with. We chat about this stuff.

What is odd is that even Africans who come to America do not particularly like African Americans. They think they are loud and not moving forward.

We have lots of prejudices to get rid of. Most of these feelings stem from ignorance. Once people learn about other people who they are not familiar with, I'm sure feelings will change.

What do you say?

I have to agree with the Africans. Blacks in America got so used to "the man" keeping them down that now they've started to keep themselves down with stupid crap. The NAACP is not a progressive organization. They need real black leaders to come forward who can help blacks pull themselves up out of poverty, crime, etc. The NAACP gives a lot of blacks the idea that they are owed something and leads to the continuation of poor, angry people who don't think they need to work for their dreams, but should have them handed to them.

Note: I am not stereotyping blacks here. This is about the group which lives in poor areas with little to no education, low paying jobs or welfare, and multiple children that they can barely support. I realize that there are other races with the same group of people, but this is a discussion about the black community.

WTF? some of my best friends in hs and at my job are african americans.....I am hispanic. When I moved to the US, I used to get hit on my African American girls all the time. If anything I would say that the african american community and hispanic community bond pretty well.

The Africans I know also like Bill Cosby and other blacks who stand up and say what is right. They are fed up with Al Sharpton.

While the African Americans don't like Bill Cosby and people like him.

They simply view the white man as holding them down, which he is and did, but I really think Bill Cosby makes some great points.

I'm a minority, and while i try my best to not be prejudice, they just make it so easy....as said above, it's not a progressive culture. btw, as a white american i stand as a minority

Fixed. I grew up in a West Indian household (my mother is from Trinidad & Tobago) and I an very aware of the differences in work ethic and overall sense of entitlement that often, not always, are very obvious between the two.

LOL! I think it's hilarious how whenever a white guy says something against blacks, he always amends his post with a disclaimer saying he's not racist or does not stereotype.

Everyone stereotypes... it is instinct to stereotype. Our species would not be alive today if it wasn't. We need to base an opinion on all things in a short amount of time. Our survival depends on it.

I play quite a bit of soccer and I play with African Americans and Africans. Well... I play with a bunch of Africans, and a few African Americans. The Africans are extremely nice and happy. The African Americans are too... but that's because they are soccer players. Any "normal" African American wouldn't be caught dead playing soccer.
