I'm not conservative, but I was gleeful at the passing of Jerry Falwell.

I didn't wish him dead though. I knew it was just a matter of time.

This. It's not like anyone is going to cheat death, it's on everyone's Things To Do list.

The more fanatical these righties get the easier it is to jerk their chain until they get personal. Once again they show their utter weakness in argument.

You really need to read the thread before responding, maybe a couple times.

Where? I mean really, where are the left allowed to speak freely in the USA in numbers?

Mass media is all owned by the corporations and only let information out in dribbles (the least they can get away with and still look legit)

Peacefully going out in the streets gets your ass pepper sprayed by the cops who are pawns of the corporations.

Smears 24/7 from the corporate media to co-opt any actual movement with slander.

There is no left in the USA. Well, besides the paranoid fantasies of righties in their media.

Even the bourgeoisie Democratic liberals and moderates are castrated in government and can get nothing done.

The left in the USA is non-existent.

Just saying you are clueless doesn't seem to put it in perspective.

No just the loud ones. And like every other club, the loud ones always get the attention.
Every club has them.
Rush Limbaugh just needs to fucking die. Or go mute and break all his fingers.

And another one. Liberals sure are showing they are the party of tolerance.

Liberals aren't a party.

And if you believe 'tolerance' includes tolerating deceptive bloviating, then by far Conservatives are the most tolerant people of such behavior.

No, just showed you there is a Liberal Party. I didn't make a mistake.

And of course making my point that there is no coherent left platform or structure in the USA.

Seriously, someone has not come up with a contemporary party called "Liberal Party" in the US? Interesting.

So when you posted before that Liberals are the party of tolerance you were speaking of the Liberal Party.

That's your non-mistake?

You really know how to pick your battles. Would you be happier if I said the Left is the side of tolerance?

Not to worry Karma will take care of those who wish death and ill will towards others.

I am no fan of religion or karma and astrology and stuff, but putting negative shit out there does come back around.

Personally taking the high road is the best long term strategy.

The best fascist is not a dead one, the best fascist is one who learns from his ignorance.

The old socialist mantra "a harm to one is a harm to all" goes for our enemies also. Divisiveness and hate do nothing but enrich the capitalist by playing us off one another, whenever the dust settles it is always the workers who have to come together to clean up the mess of rends and tears in a civil society.

Why even play that rigged game?

But then I am a fan of Tolstoy. One of the older types of socialism. Or you could just say "Christian anarchist" although myself I am secular.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Kingdom_of_God_Is_Within_You <--Good read

In 1908 Tolstoy wrote, and Gandhi read, A Letter to a Hindu,[3] which outlines the notion that only by using love as a weapon through passive resistance could the native Indian people overthrow the colonial British Empire. This idea ultimately came to fruition through Gandhi's organization of nationwide non-violent strikes and protests during the years c. 1918-1947. In 1909, Gandhi wrote to Tolstoy seeking advice and permission to republish A Letter to a Hindu in his native language, Gujarati. Tolstoy responded and the two continued a correspondence until Tolstoy's death in 1910. The letters concern practical and theological applications of non-violence, as well as Gandhi's wishes for Tolstoy's health. Tolstoy's last letter was to Mohandas Gandhi.

Yes, Tolstoy was one of Ghandis biggest inspirations -if not his de facto mentor.

It's still disingenuous, but it would have been more accurate to the sentiment you were expressing.

Then people can debate your stance because it's at the least tangential to reality.

Happier? I tend not to stake my happiness on how you post. And I have no idea why you didn't just back down and edit your post to begin with since it wasn't even saying what you intended to say. How can someone expect to have an honest debate with you if you're not willing to be honest?

Of course it is, I was being sarcastic.

Nope, I don't wish ill will or death upon anyone. Just stating an observation that has proven itself many times over.

Except it in no way has. So we must question the reason behind your lousy statistical sampling. The likely one is that it would ease your mind to see such a correlation as it would conform to other values. Thus you wish it on those terms.

With proper sampling you'd see that Mother Nature's a bitch. There is no karma -- the universe is quite uncaring. Improperly applying "justice" to the filtering of the samples and thus inventing "karma", and thus creating the illusion that the universe is in agreement for your wish for justice, does not make it so.

Not one, but two screen captures of a blatant work around of the word filter and both posts still standing? :colbert:
