Only if you want a system that is a slight improvement over the Gamecube's hardware with the main claim to fame being a "wiimote" that is a clone of a Sidewinder Freestyle Pro Game Pad in the shape of a DVD remote. But hey, you will get to join the Nintendo crew and get to bash Sony even more, so whats not to like? Sure it may focus on gameplay and ignore graphics, but hey, if you want some great games, you can always get an older console and save some money.

(Note, I do not own any game console, I have a xbox 1 in storage, but I have not played it in over a year)

Man, I am going to get flamed for this.

i'm a bit disappointed that there aren't many games out for it and it seems like its going to be a long time before there are more. they're coming out too slow.

although i haven't even been really playing much video games at all lately.

Yeah I think developers are having a hard time getting a handle on the control system. Take for instance Baseball on Wii Sports or Whack-a-Mole on Super Monkey Ball. Both need some fine-tuning. I think the system has some potential as far as graphics go (just look at Zelda), but some developers are just slaughtering it (I think Super Monkey Ball could be a bit more polished). I haven't really seen any good single-player games aside from maybe Zelda and Call of Duty. I also think it's meant to be enjoyed with 2 or more players - not necessarily "multiplayer only" but it's just more fun when used with other people.

I think the potential for single player games will be jsut dandy once developers get a good understanding of the wii mote. Shoot em ups and such are a must and if done properly will be superior to other button mashing console fps attempts.

I played around with one at my local game store...wasn't too impressed.

I can see some potential with playing with other people...but not enough to justify buying.

And the graphics really look bad when compared to my 360. It is not that I need super graphics, but when you get used to one level of graphics, then you take a big step back...its hard to really get engrossed. It is kind of like when you cut gras with a push lawn mower for a long time you get used to it and you're fine with it. Then you get to cut the lawn for a few months with a riding lawn mower...going back to the push lawn mower is a freak'n pain in the ass. You were fine with it before...but now that you've used a riding lawn mower its hard to go back. Same for Xbox 360 and Wii. Sure there will be a lot of fun games for the Wii, but there will also be a lot of fun games for the 360.

I'd spend that money toward 360 games.

Whether you want a Wii or a different console is up to you. Just think of some of the games that you want to play for the Wii console, whether you're into action/adventure or first person shooter games.
