Got a flat at work and I'm waiting for the AAA guy to show up. First time calling him. Should I tip him? If so, how much is appropriate?

No, but I'd try to call them and cut him off before he got there. They probably can't accept tips anyways due to some company policy.

Generally no. If it's hot and you have a soda or water you might offer it to the guy though.

...and -1 man point for not changing your own tire :)

No dont tip, you only tip someone who makes less than minimum wage. OR Someone who goes above and beyond to make sure you had a great experience.

Someone who is just doing their job is getting paid by their employer

Heh, I was just telling my coworker that I've had AAA for years, but the last 2 times I had a flat I ended up just changing it myself. I figured though this time if I'm paying for the damn service I might as well use it. :p

Plus I didn't want to get my work clothes dirty...

At first I thought, why in the hell would you tip your AA sponsor? Even if he is fixing you drinks...

whoops.

#1 it's too dangerous around here with idiots crashing into vehicles even off the shoulder.

#2 many sports cars only come with fix a flat now. Stuff makes a mess in the wheel. I would only use it as a last ditch effort.
