hello everyone :)
i was trying to overclock and i read many guide to tech me and i make my first overclock and hope you help me
i have maximus vi hero mobo ,4770K , H100i
i change ai overclock-tuner to manual
core ratio to 43
dram frequency to 1333
core voltage manual to 1.200 but when i run AIDA it's go up to 1.216 according to CPU-Z
cpu phase power control to optimized
cache voltage i don,t understand it so i kept it on auto
do i make overclock correctly !!???
and how many hours is recommend run on AIDA64 to test the stability of my overclock !?
please help it's my first overclock
Thanks

Yep, you overclocked correctly

Don't fret over the 1.216V in CPU-z situation, that is common/normal/expected.

but how i reduce the voltage while the cpu is not under-load !? i try offset voltage and the cpu always crash and adaptive can,t make it with AIDA !!!!

If your ram is rated for 1600 or above set your dram frequency for 1600. Run AIDA 64 at least an hour and watch your temps. BTW, Intel's web page has their own overclock software utility.
Here's the link
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us...p-boards-software-extreme-tuning-utility.html

Very useful and it is designed by Intel.

Thanks for reply
but you don,t tell me how i reduce the voltage when the cpu in not under load because when i overclock at 4.3Ghz with 1.216 manual voltage the voltage stay 1.216 if the cpu is at 4.3Ghz or only 800Mhz :(

I kept my voltage on my 3770k set to auto. It kicks back down when not needed. BTW, the Intel Extreme Tuning utility I gave you a link to has a great benchmark tool that you can run for stability testing. It will graphically show temps, voltage etc. I used to run prime 95 for 24 hours and use seperate temp monitoring software. For my Intel chip I use the Intel stress testing software for at least 2 hrs.
For AMD I useeither their overedrive software or OCCT.

i try making the ai tuner to xmp profile and set the manual voltage to 1.22 and core ratio to x44 and magically i found the volt is go down to 0.144 in idle status

is that normal !? , because i set manual voltage !!! , and is the cpu can be stable at such low voltage when idle !!!!!

That appears valid. If you look at your vid readings on Harware Monitor Pro it is a max of 1.22v but a min of .67v.

Again, I would suggest installing the Intel Extreme tuning utility and running the stress test for 5 minutes. It will show the vcore voltage both before the test and after it.

Relax. Your readings appear consistent with most I have seen posted here.

BTW, your Haswell 4770k at 4.3 Ghz most likely outperforms my 3770k at 4.5 Ghz! Be happy with a solid OC. What are your max temps when stressed with software such as IntelBurn test?

oh Thanks you relax me with this information
but i don,t understand what is the difference between CPU VCORE and cpu VID !!?
i try AIDA64 for 2 hours at 4.3Ghz and i receive 81 max temperature
