When overclocking the Duron, do u overclock the with the multiplier then and NOT the bus? Does this relly mean that the only thing u have to purchase extra is a o/c fan (no quality RAM, and no extra fans etc)???

of corse you need a good hs/f you are still overclocking. the heat comes from raising the cpu frequency/voltage not the fsb.

High quality RAM is never a bad thing but it's not absolutely necessary when overclocking. I've got generic RAM in mine and it works fine. :)

the multiplier overclock assures that your only stressing the chip itself as oposed to its cache system or your other componants. I would find the chips limit at the default FSB by adjusting the multiplier when you have that you can start expieramenting with the FSB and see if you can gain anymore preformance. Ive found that the preformance gains with a chipset that only supports 100 mhz fsb are not worth the potential loss of stability. If your not and expirenced hard ware overclocker stick with the multiplier or your lack of knowledge will make the troublshooting of instabilitys much harder.
