I ordered the parts last week for a Ryzen build. I started putting it together and the Powersupply doesn't have enough connectors to hook up all the power connectors on the Motherboard. It is an Asus Prime X570-P motherboard and a Corsair CX450 Power Supply. I have a 24 pin connector and the 8 pin connector, but there is a 4 pin connector that I don't have a connector for.

Ok looks like you have the same issue as the op. I'm guessing your 2x 4 pin connectors can be joined to make an 8 pin. That will leave you one 4 pin short but it might work that way. If not either get a PS with the required 4 pin or just get an adapter to go from one of the other extra connector to the 4 pin you need.

Curious as to why the expensive MB and monster CPU but small PS and under powered GPU?

It works now. I saw in the manual of the PSU that 4 of those 8 pins have all 12 V, the others are ground. Same thing is required according to the manual of the board, so I plugged them in and its works... But it's nevertheless confusing. Why are they not able to use standardized labels such that they correspond on both the PSU and the board...

I guess the PCIe connecters are thought to power PCIe cards. Don't have one.

On the bequit! site there is a calculator to know how much Watt is required. It said that 390 W is enough for my configuration so I took the 450 W PSU...
