I got a MSI mobo (the ATi Xpress200 S939 mATX one) for my friend and I also picked up a Seagate SATA hdd 160G w/NCQ for him.
Recently, I read something somewhere that I need to enable the NCQ function (in BIOS?) and hence the mobo needs to support such feature. Is that true? Or is it that you plug the hdd in and it will have that NCQ thingy working?
I looked into that MSI mobo Phoneix Bios and I see no NCQ, no where does the mobo say anything about such support or stuff like that. So I guess if such support is needed to enable NCQ, my friend is out of luck.
