Do I need hearing aids or...

did I just see a commercial with the fat black woman from Parks and Recreation telling us to only take 1 bath/shower per year to save water?

That would be historically accurate, and I'm a huge fan of history, but I think I'll pass. I wonder if you ever get used to being dirty? The longest I've gone is about 4 days, and I'd have paid $50 for the shower I took afterward.

This... The hair in particular becomes unbearable

I do it every day, but I don't really see a need for it to be honest. Every other day would be fine and I think we could all get used to it.

I go every other day in the winter unless I get dirty. It keeps the oil up in my skin. I dry out pretty bad in the winter.

I may do that next winter. I had dry skin when I lived in Tennessee, but its much worse in Colorado. Showering every day definitely doesn't help.

Only black person I know of on Parks & Recreation is Rashida Jones -- hot -- and she's black/white (Jewish) with a very pale complexion. And she is not remotely fat. I only started watching this season though.

well apparently you need glasses...

no, she was saying that you should only take 1 shower/bath per year, not saying you should take more showers...

I think he was making the joke that he doesn't even shower once a year so doing so would increase how often he showers and, therefore, increases the amount of water used

Her real name is Retta. She plays Donna.

Well, it is true, isn't it?

well yes it would save water, but advocating people take only 1 a year seems crazy. Can you imagine how bad everyone would smell with only 1 shower a year?

I usually shower every day because I sweat at night. After about 2-3 days even without sweating or doing work, I feel dirty and smelly.

No way I could go a week between baths let alone a year.

back in the dark ages people only bathed once a year and rubbed them selfs in shit to ward off the plague

worked out pretty well for them :awe:

I take a shower every morning. Mostly to wake up and loosen sore muscles.
If I get sweaty during the day, I take a shower in the evening too.
