1.5 yrs old stock dell intel core 2 duo cpu E6550@2.33 ghz 2 gigs memory nvidia gforce 8600 vid card. dell is replacing the vid card as it failing. this is a total stock unit and has no external cooling or anything else. Should i upgrade the power supply and get a fan?? Running speed fan there is a flame next to gpu and core are at 54C and have been as high as 57C...thanks

yes computer came with the 8600 vid card i believe its a 256 mb 8600 vid card..im going by what speed fan temps say gpu 54c is what it says

If your rig came with a 8600 then there is no need for a power supply. Dell has already factored in all power needs and gave your system a power supply that would feed all components. 54c is not bad. Sometimes videocards go bad but a extra fan placed in your case wouldn't hurt. Remember Dell, Hp, and other companies like that slap the cheapest made components they can find together. What you get is a high rate of failure. Whenever your ready for your next rig build it yourself. Not hard at all just requires a little research.
