I'm gonna have an 800 Tbird with an Alpha Pal 6035. I'm not overclocking...will case fans be necessary?

Most cases come with a fan, or usually a bracket at least. I recommend at least one fan in the front, near the floor. This will pull in cool air and the higher fan in the powersupply will push it out. Spend the 8$ and keep your investment cool.

It all depends on what kind of cpu you are going to get. If you get a retail chip then its ok to have just one fan in the front of the case. if you were to get a cheap HSF, then you need a fan in the front and back. I would recommend getting an approved HSF and have two case fans, one in the front and one in the back. AMDs get hotter than Intels.
