Do I need a receipt if I bought ipod at apple store?

My ipod 4G is having wheel issues, and I cant find the receipt for the damn thing.
I bought it at apple store last july, so I know it's still under 1 year warranty.
Do they keep receipts on their computer?

Nope. I bought mine from Amazon. When it mysteriously stopped charging/connecting, I took it to an apple store and they replaced it for me.

They found a 'mysterious silver wire' in there. (I had been soldering the day before, a bit of wire had gotten into the port while b/c it was on the same table) - I played it off like I had no idea, but I'm pretty sure she knew. Good service.

I tried that form, it says it can't find the info. I know for a fact I registered it because I have the confirmation email in my yahoo mailbox. I guess I'll just take a trip down to the apple store.

No clue. The one they replace mine with was a NEW 3G (in march , I guess that's what they did with old stock).

just go in iApple Store and replace it since the 4gs are not even a year old, they will give you a new refurbished iPod if you qualify for getting a replacement.

I got back from apple store, and they gave me a brand new ipod 4G.
I asked the rep if it was brand new or refurbished, and he said brand new.
I am now selling it
