Do I need a new processor?

I believe I have ruled out all other hardware and software...please let me know if you think I missed something.

I am getting lockups and crashes at various times. The most common times are when I am moving files from one drive or partition to another, just starting a movie, or when I leave the computer idle for a few hours. Sometimes I leave the system idle, then when I go back, the system locks. I also get BSOD's with various things listed. Sometimes it's a Page fault in non paged area, sometimes it's IRQL not less than or equal to. Often times, nothing is listed in the BSOD.

Please see system rig in sig for PC specs.

Here's what I've done so far:

Replaced my video card.
Removed 2 of 3 drives, and rotated them using only one at a time.
Removed each memory module, running only one at a time.
Removed my sound card (my only peripheral card).
Ran Memtest for many hours...no errors.
Format and reinstall WinXP...I did this for each drive.
Replaced my power supply... voltages are rock stable.
Replaced my motherboard.

I don't have my internet hooked up to this PC anymore...I know it's not any kind of a virus, since I've formatted each drive a few times.

If you think I missed anything, please let me know. If you think I should get a new processor, let me know. Thanks.

Ouch, that sucks. Since it looks like you have tried everything you could, I would try a different Cpu. Usually things like this is a ram problem, but since memtest came up with no problems, it has to be the cpu.

Can anyone reccomend a program I can use to test if there is a problem with my CPU? I would hate to spend a couple hundred dollars and find there was nothing wrong with it. Thanks.

Maybe something like SuperPI? or SIsandra using the burn in? Or you could just try to backup a movie (DVD Shrink), it's pretty CPU intensive.

Install the utility that came with your motherboard for monitoring the temperatures. If you don't know, provide motherboard brand and model.
Set up the program to log the temperatures (CPU and chipset).

Prime95
http://www.mersenne.org/freesoft.htm

Download; run the torture test. Let it run for 20 minutes and monitor the temperatures. How high does the CPU temperature goes?
Let it run for 10 hours. If the CPU heats up too much, Prime will stop so you will know. Even if the system crashes, you can open the log and see the temperatures.

Report back.
