i ordered some kingston 128MB DDR 2100 RAM from newegg to go along with some other cpu components i purchased. here is the link to the product i ordered: newegg (first one on the list). im really not a picky person, and figure that if i order something and it's the wrong thing (meaning the fault was on my end) i'm the kind of person who will just keep it and say the heck with it. but i dont really think im wrong in this instance.
looking at the product link, it mentions nothing of ECC (error correction) on the ram. when it arrived today the sticker says 128MB 266MHz DDR SDRAM ECC. correct me if im wrong, but epox 8kha+ motherboard does not support ECC and im hoping this is the reason i get no video display when i try to boot it up (does that seem about right?).
if it's my mistake and i ordered the wrong ram i will keep it, but if judging by what you see on that page you would be expecting non-ECC ram, then i will promptly return it. what do you guys think?
