Do I have enough power?

Im upgrading my current system to an athlon 1600+ on a soltek sl75drv2, for sys specs check sig.
The question is, will the 300 watt powersupply that came with my InWin Q500n from 2yrs ago be able to handle it? I dont know what brand the ps is, I just opened up the case and looked all around and I dont see any identifying marks.

Are there any tests I could run that would give me a definite answer? Im ordering the cpu in a couple days and Id rather not get it and then find out I need a new ps, too.

Any thoughts welcome, thanks :)

if it can supply 300w of power, you should have no problem running it at all....
perhaps you could go to a local computer hardware centre to get it tested for any faults..

300w will be enough, if it was a well built power supply. since you don't know who the manufacturer is, i would recommend getting a ~350w psu (i like enermax, antec, sparkle). a new psu will also give you room to upgrade your cpu in the future without having to worry about a new psu. but if you find out that your 300w works, you can always return the psu or sell it in the fs/ft forum.

im running an inwin 500 with a 300w power supply from 1997. was for a p2 266 at the time :)
run a classic athlon 800
cdrw
dvd
2 hard drives
sound/video/network/modem cards
couple of fans

just fine. not sure of the manufacturer. never had one problem.
