Do I have a faulty power supply???

I've had the Antec NEO HE-550 power supply running in my system for well over a year now. In August I purchased a second x1900 video card and have been running it in Crossfire mode without any dramas at all. Until recently I've had a problem when I'd insert my removable hard drive rack, my system would just freeze, no BSOD just freeze showing desktop. If I removed the rack it would run fine. I even tried my other rack with different hard drive and still same problem. So I just kept the drive out and system runs fine.

Until recently I was getting really bad corruption with my games, seems to be mainly D3D games, OpenGL games work fine. If I disable Crossfire in CCC it all run sweet again. I've tried uninstalling then reinstalling video drivers to previous versions with same problems, back to CCC 7.4 now. Latest directx is installed (April).

Do I have a faulty power supply or could it be a driver issue?

Actually I'd go 600w + and not because it will use all of that but you need some serious amps on the 12V rails. I'd even consider getting a triple 12v rail ps to break up the draw even more.

yes on the seasonic, no on the enermax, been there done that with the enermax.
My old 600W enermax turned into a virtual blow dryer on full blast MOMENTS after starting crossfire mode. Couldnt handle the load.
I picked up a PC&C 750W silencer and my rig gives that PSU a run for its $$ also.
This is after a silverstone 650W couldnt handle the load either, and popped on me.

Oh, and that PC&C 750W 'silencer', not so silent :|

I ended up buying the Corsair 620w power supply and fitting it. Still the same 3D problems in games while in crossfire mode :-( so my old power supply was okay. The +3.3v and +12v voltages are higher which is good. I then decided to do a fresh install of WinXP and installed a few of my main games, so far so good no 3D corruption in crossfire mode, I installed CCC 7.2 just in case CCC 7.4 was too blame.

One problem I still have is the removable rack, I fitted it back in the system thinking it would be fine since fitting new power supply, but it's not, same problem as before, system will just freeze on desktop, can't do nothing.
