I want to major in History :) And virtually nobody takes a 5th year of school. College is 4 years(or less in some cases). You'd have to mess up pretty badly in order to take 5 years.

Depends on the major and the school. 5 years is actually pretty common in some fields.

But whatever, you do your thing, Ubermensch.

US schools are different than in the EU regarding timing.

4 years is standard for all undergrads, and 5 years isn't unusual.

unlike the EU or UK, we don't go into college already focused on one discipline. He will still have to take math, science, lit classes and such even if he wants to major in history.

Yes, you're right. In the "retard/slow" field, it's probably very common.

um, no. Sometimes people take shitloads of classes and multiple majors at once that are far more difficult than history.

With an attitude like yours just coming out of highschool and your balls not yet dropped, I imagine you will do quite well...

Just so you know you can learn all the history you want for free from books or the internet. No need to drop 50k-100k for that :p

You'll fit in well here. Just need you to show proof of income over $100,000/yr and you'll be all set.

Damn I knew I forgot to do something, here ya go...
