Do I have a 1/5 divider?

I have a Chaintech 7VJL Summit KT333 based motherboard. There has been some issues as to whether these boards 166mhz jumper enable a 1/5 divider. Now I know it didn't work on the original 7VJL, but I don't know if they fixed it by the Summit series or not. I just put it to the test, and got it to post all the way until 195FSB (it had artifacts at 195, but its cause I have PC2700 PNY RAM). I successfully booted into windows and got online at 189mhz FSB. Would this even be possible on a 1/4 divider? I know if I dont use the 166mhz jumper (leave it at 133 and up w/ the BIOS) then it wont post. Any ideas if I have it or not?

The KT333 supports it, but whether or not Chaintech has implemented it with this motherboard is another question. Does your BIOS allow you to view your current divider settings? With my 8k3a, the 1/5 automatically kicks in at 166mhz FSB and above. It's easily viewable in the BIOS. You might want to do a search for this over at the Chaintech forum at athlonmb.com. I'm sure someone must have brought this up in the past.

I'd say there's a 98% chance that it's autoswitching to the 1/5 divider. If you were running a 189FSB on a 1/4, that would put your PCI cards at a shade over 47MHz, and probably to their untimely death. :p

unfortuanly there isn't a way to view my current divider settings, and sandra always reports wrong (apparently its a bug in sandra). Ill check those forums out though. I wish I had an nForce2!
