Not unhappy with it but I'd like to gain 10lbs or so of decently lean mass

Whole milk is good stuff. Gaining muscle is mostly a function of exercise so try carrying those gallon jugs home from the store.

Seems like it's more than the average milk-drinker. I just wonder how you manage to drink so much. That's like 2-3 gallons a week!! Dang mang!

that's about 1.2 liters a day.

It's really a lot and it does have sugars but as long as you don't eat cheese or yogurt on top of it I don't think you're crossing any threshold. I don't think this much milk drinking has been scientifically tested though.

If you want to build lean weight, that's not really the best way to do it. For example, you're getting up to 50 g of fat per day just from the milk. That's like pouring a quarter cup of vegetable oil per day into a glass and drinking it.

Can you switch to 2% or 1%? You'd keep the protein content the same, but would drop the fat (and caloric) content by a large amount.

I drink a bag of milk a day...it prevents hangovers. So thats roughly 3 pounds of milk a day.

I drank nearly a gallon a day
I love the stuff but i was also extremely actively with a very fast metabolism.
If you like it drink it. For me it was either milk or water

"Are you a non-infant that drinks milk" and "Do I drink to much milk" have the same exact answer. No exceptions.

IMO, milk is nasty stuff. If you actually DRINK any of it...you're drinking too much.

The ONLY thing I use milk for is cereal...sometimes I'll drink the leftover milk...sometimes I just pour it out.

I drink about the same amount of whole milk every month, decent way to get calories I suppose.

Why is Canada serving liquid in bags?
obama or the metric system....

The innovation was introduced in 1967 by DuPont using European equipment. The new packaging quickly found favour with the domestic dairy industry, being lighter and less fragile than glass bottles. However, the consumer public preferred plastic jugs for years, but largely accepted the new containers in certain regions in the 1970s. A major reason for that shift was with the national conversion to the metric system, which was easier to adjust to on production with bags while doing the same for jugs required entire systems to be wholly redesigned
