Maybe it was the standing on your head that made your joints feel better?

That's a shitload of milk. I drink a fair amount, probably close to a gallon a week and checked to see if that is too much. Looking around there were several studies that warn not to drink more than a glass or glass and a half a day. Although it sounds counter-intuitive given that milk is considered to be good for you, there are a whole lot of potential health problems down the road if you overdo it. Too much calcium can make bones weaker and more brittle, not stronger.

I wonder what effect that much milk has on the body, like bones. You need calcium, but wonder what happens when you have too much. I guess if you're getting it naturally your body probably gets rid of the extra.

I'm not lactose intolerant but still have my limits if I consume too much. Pretty sure if I had that much dairy I'd be having bowel movements so powerful that I'd be getting phone calls from SpaceX inquiring about my propulsion technology.

Cows milk (especially processed) is actually bad for bones...it causes an acidic reaction in the body, which then leeches calcium from the bones to counteract it. You don't absorb enough calcium from the milk to make up the deficit.

A little milk/milk based product every now and then should be fine, but such high consumption may lead to bone health issues in the future (and/or kidney stones).

Interesting, I figured it was still good for you, just that vast amounts would maybe have a bad effect. You do need calcium for bones, wonder what another good source is. Almonds I think?

Humans didn't evolve to drink milk beyond what was provided by the mother. It doesn't actually make sense to drink it as an adult at all. Drinking as much as the OP is just asking for problems. Pretty much anything in excess is bad.

I drink ~ 500 ml of skim milk per day, plus one yogurt. On days where I work out particularly hard I'll drink an additional ~500 ml or more.

Will that amount protect your bones from smashing to smithereens when the balloon crashes?
