do hotels usually allow you to share rooms for single occupancy rooms?

Me and 3 friends want to go to NYC next month. Do you think most hotels would mind if 4 of us shared a room with a single bed in it? Would we have to pay extra?

they may charge you for the extra adults. just have 2 people go up and pay, and make them wait in the car/outside/whatever. then after you get the keys tell them what room number to go to.

You usually have to tell them how many are staying there, but aside from that should be ok. As long as it isn't excessive amounts of people. (IE- no late night parties or anything)

If you want to do it legit, they will probably charge you a small fee per person. Or just do what anxi88 said...

yeah they can't tell if you're meeting friends in NYC... I would pay for 2.. and have the other 2 guy wait outside till later and dont have them go in with their bags..

we've crammed about 11 people in a vegas room.. yea we're cheap

wow that must've been uncomfortable! :Q

Done the same. In Vegas it's not that big of a deal. Rarely ever more than 3-4 people sleeping at any given time anyway.

That's going to make for some interested sleeping arrangements. 😛

I hear bathroom tubs are quite comfortable 😛

Ya know...wrap yourself in a comforter and they're really not that bad.
