Most likely. It's from the university cafeteria, so it wouldn't surprise me

It just doesn't sound appetizing. I usually eat fruits and a croissant or biscuit for breakfast.

Grits are good! I like my grits really dry, I hate when they're soupy.

I haven't dowsed it with anything. The cafeteria staff on the other hand... you never know

I'm from the south and I don't like grits at all. It's okay if loaded up with something like garlic and cheese.. but just barely.

I wasn't aware they had a bad rap. Nothing beats eggs and grits for breakfast.

I had an amazing dinner in Greenville, SC at a place called Sassafrass. It was a plate of real grits with a piece of rare Ahi Tuna on top with some veggies/garnishes. Oh man...that was a GREAT meal!

I dunno, just not a big fan of grits. Might have just been a culture thing though. My parents bought some to try out when I was pretty young, and I hated it. Probably because of the way it looked (I was in elementary school IIRC), and the fact that we already have this soupy rice dish that is, I guess, the Asian version of grits (its literally like um.. rice and water, except a somewhat thicker consistency than pure water. soupy.)

Ever since then I just avoided it. Never really saw the appeal... in college breakfast was like (dining hall) eggs, hash browns, sausage, biscuits & gravy, bacon, omelet if you wanted, hardboiled egg, half a grapefruit, coffee... didn't see a need for grits.

I think grits are overrated in the south. You get a weird look if you don't eat them at breakfast. Maybe cheese grits, but they're so bland. :/

i don't know
i like grits, you have to eat them right, sometimes people from not the South think they are like oatmeal or Cream of Wheat and try to put milk and sugar on them, that doesn't work

you have to use salt, pepper, butter, cheese, etc on grits. and bacon and over easy eggs go well with grits also
