Do girls have no perception of distance?

I just told a girl I drove back from the airport today, and she asked how far it was to which I responded about 10 miles. She then asks, how far is that "in terms of time"? 😕

The other week then someone asked me how far Petco was from our area and I said "about one and a half miles" to which she replies "Is that walking or driving?"

"One and a half miles".
"Yeah is that walking or driving?"

😕 brain explodes

lol I know what you mean...

I do know there was a study that proved that men had better depth perception then women....but that's not the same....

Yes, but I enjoy girls that need a man to tell them what to do and think so much more than a stuck-up girl. Ditsy is best.

HAHAHAHAHA! 😀

They also have no perception of color. This one girl was saying how my pants were grey while I asked my buddies who all said they were blue. And then she proceeds to ask some other girls who said they were grey. WTF.

In their defense: you sure the first one wasn't from out of the country?

The second one: could be that she thought that there were some one-ways for cars, or at least some pedestrian only streets.

truth is more guys are colorblind than women.

"1 in 12 people have some sort of color deficiency. About 8% of men and 0.4% of women in the US."

And it just so happened that all of those men were colorblind to some extent?

correct. that is my point while disputing his that women "have no perception of color."

My sense of time, distance, space, displacement, etc. is very good. It's really not hard to determine how far one has traveled given the standard distance between pavement expansion joints, common known vehicle wheelbases, and highway speeds.

Many landmarks in familiar and unfamiliar places often give clues as to distance traveled. In warmer climates many insects emit noises that change with the surrounding temperature.

When the sun is not obscured by the clouds the length and angle of the shadows gives a perfect bearing of direction. All the clues are there. It's all around you. Too bad too many are busy yapping on cell phones, looking for addresses, putting on a face, have unkempt and often out of control offspring strapped in behind them.

All these distractions and unnecessary dependencies dull the mind.

This task tested your ability to make spatial judgments.

You correctly matched 20 line(s) out of 20.

On average, men generally outperform women at this task, although it is important to note that many women score extremely well.

Males may generally score higher because they tend to pay more attention to space or the geometry of the world around them. Differences such as this may reflect differences in the brain.

One theory suggests that exposure to higher levels of testosterone before birth gives men an added advantage because the hormone may stimulate the development of the right hemisphere of the brain. This is the side that contributes most to spatial awareness. Complete all six parts to get your brain sex profile.

This is a direct result of men!

They see something that's 4 inches long, and we tell them that it's 12 inches. It destroys their abilities to estimate small measurements. Multiply the error by 5240, and they won't be able to tell the difference between 100 yards and 12 miles.
