What do you guys think. i just bought one. i find them exceedingly comfortable and convenient. i hate keeping a wallet in my back pocket and front pockets are uncomfortable places to store large objects.

the fanny pack allows me to carry my Cell Phone, my Leatherman, Change, Receipts, Wallet, Palm all in one convenient location.

it's not annoying or bulky like a briefcase.

anyway, i find them exceedingly convenient, my wife however thinks they look strange.

what does ATOTer think?

The problem with them, is that they draw attention to your genital area. That's whats so odd about it. Usually things worn there and in that shape are panties or breifs.

Here in Texas, if you're wearing a fannypack, you're either gay or packing a gun (and sometimes both)...

Helps that whole hate crime stuff though, not being able to tell:D

If I used anything I'd get one of those "Bandoleer" thingys... at least they are up-to-date fashion-wise. ;)

They look very strange.. Can't you just put your wallet in your pocket like most people?

if you saw how big my wallet was, you'd understand. after going w/o having the wallet in my back pocket for the last 3 yrs, i'll never go back.

wasn't there a Sienfeld episode on that?

If you where a fannypack, you're on of these few things.

- Nostalgic jogger from the 1980's.

- A wrestler, as they always where them.

- A lame, lame computer guy.

That's pretty much it, while there are a few other categories, you need to decide, which one are you?

tough tough choice as i don't "where" my fannypack.

I do wear it tho, and i am a computer guy, hate jogging and hate wrestling (the thought of holding another man that closely is not something that holds much attraction for me).

lame lame?? nah, i walk just fine, so i know i'm not lame.

Over the shoulder, and across the chest... so the fanny pack is either on my chest or under my armpit... it's loose though. Like how one would wear a messenger pack.

EDIT: it's actually safer this way... wearing a fannypack to the side or behind you can get pickpocketted quite easily... at least according to an expose i saw on tv awhile ago about tourists that did it.

Hey,

i used to wear a fishermans vest for all the pockets, but my wife made me give that up. she lets me carry the fannypack, but i got to leave it in the car. :(

she's kinda fashion conscious, me i don't give a crap, i just go with what's convenient and comfortable.
