Do EL lighted rounded cables require separate power connector for the light

Do the el lighted rounded cables require a separate power connection (e.g, molex) for the light aspect? Or are these just plug and go? In other words, does the light work just by plugging the ide cable into the ide device and board controller?

They just suck power from the cables they're on. Just plug and go.

Yes, they do. In the specs it reads:

"- DC12V power input for EL lighting. "

I prolly would just suggest UV cables with a UV CC tube.

Some of them do, some of them don't.

The cable will work without the light though right? These are such a good deal that i'm not sure if it really matters...the power connection is a pass-through anyways
