Do Durons make create a burning smell?

Ever since I upgraded to a duron 700, the computer makes a burning smell.
The temp hasn't ever gone past 50 C.

Ive had a Duron overclocked to 950 and a tbird 700 @1Ghz and have smelled the burning just right after they were overclocked. Eventually the smell went away. Couldnt help but think that I was cooking my CPU's. They worked just fine though. Tough cpu's.

maybe ur cooking the thermal pad that was in the hs. i think some where meant to be cook.

I never smelled that burning smell, even after I overclocked it to 1000.

my friend has a power supply that is making burning smells

try to figure out if it is the PS or what

Its that "new" smell got it for a little while with my new PSU

it could either be your ps or maybe the sensor on the cpu... i dont think your cpu would fry that easy...
