Do DSL connections still require filters?

If you are handy with the wiring, you can filter the whole house with one filter. I do it all the time for businesses.
 
Only if you are using it for voice as well as data. I don't filter my line becuase it is dedicated DSL.

That's what I do. I get a NID splitter, then use the black and yellow pair for DSL, then specify a jack to run it to.
