We had new neighbors move in about 4 months ago. They have two dogs and they kept them inside the house. Two months ago, they installed a fence all the way around the house and now they leave the dogs outside 24-7. I don't know what the hell kind of dogs they are, but they are probably at least 100 pounds each and they WILL NOT STOP BARKING.

Everytime someone walks by their house or they hear something, they bark...and they keep barking...and barking...and barking.

Yesterday, a crew was power washing the exterior of a house down the street from us. The dogs sat up on the back porch looking at the works and barked...and barked...and barked for hours on end.

Do these people not give a sh!t? Can they not hear how flippin' annoying their dogs are? And this is with our windows closed of course. I'm sure that other neighbors are ready to shoot the dogs by now.

call for noise complaint.

they get enough of them they will have to keep the dogs inside or have them de-barked or something.

while mean you should not have to suffer because they are bad pet owners.

Walk over to their front door, ring the door bell, be very polite when they come outside:

"I'm your next door neighbor and I just thought I'd drop in and say hi. Could you please tell your dogs to shut the fvck up? Kthxbye."

Wait till the neighbors go out. Then take the dogs to the local veterinarian and have them debarked.

Yeah, OK, it'll cost a bit - but it'll be peace at last, and your neighbors probably won't even notice.

Seriously though, I don't think a dog could take down a horse. I mean, the horse would be so much bigger and stronger then the dog. The dog would probably run away, or just get kicked by the horse. Or if the horse was running away, the dog probably wouldnt be able to catch it.

simply call the police and complain about a noise issue...they will solve it.

I am not a small guy, but the last thing I want to do is go on someone else's property, knock on their door, and complain.

I think a noise complaint is a better idea than going to the person's door. That way it's anonymous and you avoid destroying your relationship with the neighbor-- their feelings won't be hurt.

Seems like they never get hoarse. I taunted A boxer for hours one time and he never lost his voice.

This is the problem with America. Calling the cops is never a better idea than knocking on your neighbors door b/c the cops will just go over there and knock on the door and this will piss them off. Only call the cops if the neighbors pay no attention after you have already asked them to STFU their dogs.

Could you record the dogs, put it on a loop and play it back for them on a loudspeaker 24/7? Maybe then they'd at least take the dogs inside at night.;)

Waggy is right, "call for noise complaint." Document it, then they can take control of the dogs or have them removed as a nuisance.

lmao

if nothing else works (like talking to them or calling the cops), get one of those bark back things where if the thing hears a bark, it will bark back at the dog. i guess it spooks the dogs or something.

otherwise just buy a muzzle and walk overthere and put it on the dogs.

The first step would be to act like an adult and go speak to your neighbor. Be polite, introduce yourself if you don't already know them and then inform them their dogs are disturbing you. You can try and diffuse the situation a bit by complementing them on the dogs, saying that you love animals and wish that you had great pets like they do.... butter them up a little bit, be friendly but make it clear that the barking is a problem. You don't want to call the cops or animal control them (unless they are being abused) unless their are no other options. I've been involved in a feud with a neighbor over his animals and it only makes the problems worse. I did eventually resort to calling the police but only after talking to the neighbor, his wife, and his kids several times.

I would rather you walk over and tell me then call the cops. Calling the cops would just tick me off, especially if it is something I have no idea bother's people.
