have you seen some of the local reps?
sometimes i think they intentionally hire eyecandy right out of college ....

this is also true. One of my high school friends used to be a pharma rep. I went to her summer BBQs a few times and I swear, all of her coworkers could've been models

my cousin, who is also attractive, graduated in business, now reps for Pfizer, and makes a shit-load of $$$. she just had to go to a two-week seminar to learn wll the biochem she needed to sell her 2 pills.

fucking retarded industry. i know the trials are ridiculously expensive and this is where the price of medication is reflected, but the premium they pay to hire mildly educated people to sell those pills is absolutely criminal, imo.

So true

that's like <1% of pharm reps. plus it's a pretty shitty job. best for large chested women willing to give the dr a bj in the "meeting."

i know a dermatologist he was being taken out to the top restaurants in LA every week. it's gone down a lot this past year though.

OK, so then 23 year-old slut making 200% more with .02% of the education as the real brains in the business represents 70% of the industry.

if that makes you feel better 😀

Yes and accurate. But it's literally a handful. In fact I have never met a pharm rep my entire life. The only reason I know a little about them is my friend in SF's roommate is a pharm rep. And yes she is hot and has huge tits. But went to Berkeley.

Don't forget about the free drug samples. Great for getting a patient on your medication over a competitor . Try it ! Its free..... for now.
In addition to the pens and paper don't forget about the 'training seminars' that just happen to be in places like the Bahamas. Can't get that kind of training just anywhere !

I was on one of my clinical encounters and a drug rep showed up. Shortly after showing up the doctor I was working with got a call from his receptionist that "so-and-so" the "so-and-so" rep was here. He turns to me and said, "well, let's get smoozed". In walks this unbelievably hot chick in the sluttiest business suit I have ever seen. She starts going on about a few new drugs they were more or less pushing and then started about some off-label uses for some common drugs. The Doc I am with keeps saying stuff like "uh-huh" and yep and eventually interrupts her and tells her which samples we need. She more or less says, okay, but I'll give you a bunch of the stuff I was just talking about as well.

Apparently, it happens every 2 weeks or so. I am almost certain they made a law against the chinzy promo stuff they used to hand out. It is one of those "we will pretend to do something laws" that really don't do much. I can tell you that it is 100% in WV and I am pretty sure it is nationwide. We used to have drug reps come to our Hospital Day (the day 2nd years get to check out diff hospitals for rotations) but this year was the last because they aren't allowed to hand out free stuff anymore like that.

I ended up getting a box of 144 penlights from Adavair. They were basically having a firesale give away.

The pens got outlawed but the "seminar trips" still stay. The average private practice Doc doesn't see this, but the big hospital admins will.

My biggest problem with the whole Hottie drug reps were the off-label pushing. The same day we say an older woman who was prescribed Flomax, a prostate medication, used off-label as a urinary incontinence drug, but with no proof or approval. Needless to say the Doc I was with pulled her off of it.

Are you sure that she's not on commission? Maybe she's just darn good at selling.

And really, in ANY industry, salespeople tend to be more attractive. It's just human nature to want to speak with an attractive person.
