A co-worker just bought some M&M's, and gave me the red and blue ones because she said they taste bad???? They all taste the same to me. Maybe I don't have a good sense of taste or something.

actually they do taste different. well i guess i shouldn't say that. they are supposed to taste different. each candy coating is a different flavor.
EDIT: BTW i don't like the red ones as much either

I tend to eat 5 or six at a time so they all taste the same to me.

They all taste the same. You should challenge her to a blind-folded taste test. Buf if you prove your point, you may not get any more red or blue m&m's. What a quandry.
Edit: This Question is actually in the m&m faq. They say the dyes they use have no taste.

I tend to think the yellow ones taste more yellowy to me, while the green ones are clearly way more greeny

Not skittles--M&Ms...
I'd let any idiot believe one color or another tasted bad if they gave them to me...

nope, i'm a dirty liar.
direct from the M&M's website:

<< Do the different "M&M's"® colors taste different?

The color from the candy shells has no taste. It's the delicious milk chocolate (and inclusions like peanuts and crisped rice) inside, with the crisp sugar shells outside, that provide all the taste and texture of "M&M's"® Chocolate Candies. While there is no difference in taste due to the different colors, consumers do eat their "M&M's"® in a variety of different ways, i.e., sorting the colors out separately and eating one color at a time, allowing the color to dissolve from the candy shell in their mouths prior to chewing the candy, and of course just enjoying them one by one.

IMO they do have very slight differences in taste. Nothing to make me dislike one over another, though..
