You also have more mixes these days.

Anyway, there are generalizations... like Koreans have the smallest eyes of all asians. Who can list more ?

Koreans are the tallest of all. Chinese always have morning bed hair & speak obnoxiously, Japanese are shortest of all, Southeast asians have the flattest noise in the world..

I'm Korean and I'm dark skinned. Of course, I go to beach often. 🙂

BTW, I'm 20 and my beard isn't fully developed. 🙁

Though I know it's not really what identifies the race, I can usually tell their "Asian-denomination" usually by certain. For some reason, I see Japanese to have generally manageable (for lack of a better term) and their teenagers have the exotic hairdos.

Koreans tend to wear graphic shirts (now these are the Koreans that live near me, don't take this advice =0þ)

Chinese usually have this shape to their faces. If wide it has a certain proportion, if it's thin, it has this other proportion that I haven't seen other people have. It's subtle but it's there.

Filipino (males) have very dry feet. Heeheehee

Unfortunately, since I'm mixed with all of Asia, that will get hard for one to really tell

I think generally speaking, since this is a general kind of question...

Indonesians, filipino, and thai are darker skinned.

Chinese, Japanese, and Koreans are generally lighter skinned.

Japanese being generally ligher than Chinese and Koreans.

Japanese tend to have wider, more planar faces than Chinese and Koreans.

It tends to be easier for Japanese men to grow facial hair...

This much I can tell..but I'm still stuck on the difference between Chinese and Koreans...

I am mostly mistakened for being either Korean or Japanese here in Taiwan..and I'm Chinese...

so I guess...I can be anything you want me to be!

Your asian friend,

candicec

I hate the facial hair 🙁

Cheers,
Aquaman <<<<<<<<< Chinese and hates shaving 🙁

I'm Filipino but I'm always mistaken for Chinese or Mexican? Go figure. Alot of the pure Filipinos are short and dark but being that the country at one time or the other was occuiped by the Spanish Japanese and the U.S. theres alot of mixed looking folks.

I do wear graphic shirts because I've inline skated since I was 12. Quiksilver pwns me. Yes, a Korean guy wearing Quiksilver clothes.

The generalizations required for this topic are awesome! 😀 My favorite so far is the "Chinese always have morning bed hair & speak obnoxiously". That sounds like a generalization based on observations from university-level engineering classes. It's an observation that a few nights out in Tokyo, Taipei, or Seoul would clear up really quickly. :Q

Anyway, I can often tell the race of Asian women. I'll admit that I would guess incorrectly if presented with a dark, hairy Japanese girl with a patchy beard... but in that case I wouldn't care either! 😀

I'm Irish-Taiwanese raised as an American while spending half my childhood in Asia.

I have difficulty following a movie if there are too many white guys wearing uniforms. Black Hawk Down, for instance.

Remember on his show when Chappelle was saying how all asians look the same, then he said how all white people look the same too, and then how all people who arent black people look the same. lol

But it's so true. And the fashionably 'aware' Chinese look Korean.

Another proof that Koreans >> Chinese

egos? physically? or both?

I'd say both.

Any other votes?

As Korean, even I agree. We're the most conceited group of all. We openly judge people based on education level (Did you go to harvard etc?), Income, and ethnicity.

Notice Koreans ALWAYS stick with other Koreans? And they all have to be good looking.

We PWN YOU ALL ASIANS!

😉

I vote both too. Physically Koreans seem to have smaller eyes and flatter faces, thus make their heads appear bigger. ego-wise, you can easily see from the posts by koreans here in this thread.

HAHA Pwn3d!

Japanese are the most Flamboyant I can tell you that. Whether it be their weird hair or scruffy looking fascade.

Other asians seem more conservative.
