Do/Did you dress up for the first day of classes?

I guess this applies mostly to high school students, cuz no one cares that much in college. Do you or did you dress up for the first day of classes? When I was in high school (Class of 98), everyone would dress up really nice. Then the second day it was back to Jncos and t-shirts.
 
When I was in HS girls always wore some sexy sh!t the first couple days. Stuff they got new over the summer and had never worn before. Then once the guys were drewling over them they went back to sweat pants :|

:Q you kidding me? who gives a fvck about HS, in college you can tell all the hot ladies are trying to look extra fine, most of them succeeding. 😀

No one in my school dresses up for the first day. People only dress up on special occasions such as school parties and recitals.
 
I don't think so at my high school... maybe girls did their make-up better than they would on a day after pulling an all-nighter... but not really.
 
I wore jeans and a t-shirt if that's what you mean by dressing up. I put some sparkly pink nail polish on my left thumbnail too. yeah .. I went all out.
 
I had a roommate in college who always wore a shirt, tie and coat to his finals. Said he took pride in his work, and wanted to show it.
 
I just always wore my new "school clothes" that my mommy bought me the end of the summer for back to school. But that normally consisted of jeans and plain old shirts... nothing fancy. new sneakers 🙂
 
I dressed a lot nicer for college than I did HS. I found that I got a lot better response from profs when I was dressed more professionally.
 
I'd do the opposite mostly. I left a beard in August... by the time HS started I was a mess.. wore torn up jeans and my cool @ss Master of Puppets t-shirt. Bout 2 weeks into classes I shaved and wore some decent clothes (nice pair of jeans, good sneakers, nice shirt) and scare the hell out fo my teachers 😛 🙂
