Do Dell computers come with a PCI-e slot?

On the page for video configuration for dell's cheapest computers, the top option will say "integrated Intel.." then below that it will say "Nvidia GeForce..."

Am I to assume that it has a real PCI-e slot, and that's why it doesn't say integrated? Can I put my own card in there? I had an eMachines about 10 years ago that had integrated AGP, but no real AGP, so that's why I'm asking. Some computers really do not have an AGP or PCI-e slot.

In the past, only the cheapest models (ie: Dimension 3000, 2400) had no PCI-Ex16 slot. You could probably check the service manual of the computer you're interested in to make sure there is one in the computer. If you're getting any of the mid- to high-end models, they have PCI-Ex16 slots.

You need to be careful. Especially if you want to do some higher-end gaming.

I strongly recommend you stick with an XPS 420. The problem with the Inspiron 530/531 models is you don't know what PSU you're going to get, and you most likely would have to replace it, which is going to be a little work.

Check Dell Outlet, there are plenty of XPS 420's for $609 with Q6600/3GB/320GB/Vista. Just replace the 2400 Pro with an 8800 GT or GTS, 9600 GT, or HD 3870.
