I have always heard that you shouldn't store a condom in your wallet for a long amount of time because it could get messed up. Is this true or just a myth?

If you want a kid, yes.

yes because it will never get used.

If you insist on keeping one with you, keep it in your pocket.

do like I do and tape a couple to the front of your hat

I usually just pop a few Viagra and put one on my peepee before leaving the house. That way I won't forget where I put it.

It says on the packaging to keep it in a cool dry place. In parens it specifically says "NOT IN WALLET", no joke.
Then after that it also says to keep them away from bright lights or sunlight.

I keep them in the wallet short term when there is potential use anyway (no place else convenient), but it is towards the side of the wallet farthest from body heat the way I put it in my pocket, and with about 25 different cards (credit cards, discount cards, IDs, metrocard, laundry card, etc), and a lot of bills the wallet is about 2.5-3" thick, so this keeps it from getting too much body heat. Would not trust them kept this way long term tho.
