do COMPRESSED AIR CANS need to be disposed of in a special way?

Spray propelent on stump, slight on fire. Shoot can with .22 and wtach it spray fire. Then, place in garbage can.

Have you ever seen the Caterpillar D-11 bulldozers they use to mix and bury the trash at landfills? I think they are more than capable of crushing his can of air.
 
I wonder if anyone really answers questions on OT anymore, or if everyone just needs an excuse to demonstrate their total lack of humor.

Edit: By the way, unless the can contains CFCs (and it should be labeled as such if it does), you can just toss them in the trash.
 
is there a MSDS (material safety data sheet) that addresses compressed air? if so, follow their recommended instructions. if not, google it. if you can't find anything helpful from those responses, follow one of the above recommendations.
