good to know, though. I really didn't understand the difference.

Crumpets are really different to everything.

When they are cold they mostly resemble natural sponge... Yep that stuff you use in the bath. When hot they are only edible because the holes capture huge amounts of the now melted butter you added to them.

so.. crumpets are like pancakes?

how do they get the 'nooks and crannies' in them?

Is this going to turn into a "those aren't pancakes they are crepes" thing? :sneaky:
